Draft — pending legal review. This page is a working draft for the private pilot and is not yet final. It will be reviewed by qualified counsel, including for India's DPDP Act and other applicable laws, before public launch.

What we collect

  • Account information: your email address and name.
  • Profile and business information you choose to add.
  • Content you post, connections you make and messages you send through Setu.
  • Basic technical logs needed to keep the service secure and working, kept for a limited time.

Analytics

Setu counts a few anonymous events — homepage visits, registrations, completed profiles, first connections and first inquiries — as daily totals. We do not use cookies or third-party analytics for this, and we do not store your IP address or link these counts to you. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, we don't count your visits at all.

Email

We send a welcome email when you join and notification emails you can switch off per type, or all at once, on your Account page. Messages about your account itself (for example moderation or verification decisions) are always sent.

What is public

Business profiles and posts are public unless stated otherwise. Personal email addresses, phone numbers, home addresses and any verification documents are never shown publicly. Business contact details appear only if you turn them on.

Your choices

You can edit your profile, change contact visibility, download a copy of your data, choose which notifications you receive, and delete your account and businesses — all from your Account page.

Retention

We keep data only as long as needed to run Setu, meet legal obligations and resolve disputes. Specific retention periods will be published here before public launch.
